Founder and CEO
Andy has the best job in the world: CEO of an amazing and empowering company. He does a bit of everything, but is primarily tasked with setting the Code Nation strategy so we can help coders carve out awesome careers for themselves, and businesses get access to the best coding talent. He also makes the coffee!
Before Code Nation, Andy was CEO of Rethink Group, a 200-person-strong global talent management and recruitment business. During his time there, he saw clients struggle to find digitally-skilled people to fill an increasing number of tech roles. Frustrated by the lack of solutions, he decided to create one himself.
And so, Code Nation was born.
Andy’s proud to have built a very happy and satisfying place to work, and he loves what we stand for. The need for digital skills is getting stronger every year and, eventually, everybody will need to code in one way or another. Helping people learn these skills is more than good business sense – it’s a great way to help people and society as a whole. Plus, coding is cool!
When he’s not at work, Andy’s learning to box. It’s the hardest sport he’s ever tried, but it’s amazing for fitness, and it helps him live out his dreams of ‘Rocky’-style glory. He can also juggle, is a great cook, and knows 10 card tricks and three jokes.
He’s rubbish at piano though. Give him a break; he’s trying!
