Mary Clare Gutteridge
Mary’s job at Code Nation is to monitor and review capability and capacity to deliver our various courses to students. Part of what makes Mary such a fantastic member of the Code Nation team is her dedication and attention to detail. Mary has a remarkable understanding of the requirements set out by ESFA and Ofsted, and as a result, she is determined in her mission to earn Code Nation an “Outstanding” rating from Ofsted.
Having seen first-hand the difference that Code Nation can make to people’s lives, Mary believes that learning to code is essential given the fast rate of change we are seeing in the world around us. Teaching people how to code enables the work we are doing in all facets of business to improve, and Mary loves the fact that she gets to help provide a space for people to learn these skills.
Coming from a background in further education where she worked for over 15 years, Mary’s skills lie in strategic and operational leadership giving direction to raising the quality of provision. In her professional life, Mary has had many opportunities to assist people in the world of work through different routes and sectors.
Away from the office, Mary is kept very busy as the vice chair of governors at a local primary school, and she also sits on a panel as a vice chair for a fostering agency.
