As a Senior Instructor for our cyber security courses, Paul empowers our students to take their first steps on the road to becoming professionals in the industry. He has a background in ethical hacking and a passion for finding vulnerabilities through penetration testing.
An active member of the local coding scene, you’ll often find Paul frequenting bug bounty sites and places like Hack The Box as he continues to develop his skills as a white hat hacker. Paul believes that in the fast-moving information-driven environment that we now live in, a basic understanding of keeping yourself, families and personal information safe is a life skill everyone should have.
When Paul left school, he joined the Royal Signals as an apprentice, and after completing phase 2 training, he became an Area System Operator in Germany. Following his time in the Army, Paul completed a degree in Internet and Multimedia Technologies.
Before joining Code Nation, Paul was a Senior Leader in Secondary Education. He started his teaching career as a teacher of IT and Business and was able to progress and become Head of IT and Assistant Headteacher. Paul then moved into a role as Senior Leader for Inclusion and Special Educational Needs Coordinator where he worked with School Leaders and the Local Authority chairing a provisioning mapping task group developing provisions for the future of inclusion.
Away from work, Paul is a family man and enjoys doing different activities with his wife and children. He is an FA-qualified football coach and treasurer on the committee for a local Junior Football Team. He also likes PC gaming and taking his dog for countryside walks.
