To support the Head of Employability to develop, deliver and capture employability and positive destination progression for all students.
Duties
Student Facing:
Support students to assess their values, interests, abilities, and skills and relate these to opportunities for employment, further study and training.
Book students in for employability one to ones with the Head of Employability.
Support the apprentice ambassador programme and secure case studies and speakers.
Identify student case studies/quotes/ good news and work with the Marketing Manager to develop and promote.
Delivery:
Provide support to the Head of Employability to deliver employability sessions.
Support the Head of Employability to deliver employability one to ones.
Partner Engagement:
Provide support to develop and maintain relationships with education, employment and training partners offering opportunities for students.
Stand in for the Head of Employability at partner meetings, where required.
Schedule partner talks and workshops for students, including all joining instructions and feedback.
Employer Engagement:
Provide support to the Head of Employability on employer surveys to inform employability sessions.
Lead the scheduling and booking of a programme of employer talks with external speakers (one / week).
Support the Engagement team to identify talent for apprenticeship vacancies.
Promote and communicate direct hire opportunities to students.
Support the Marketing Manager with our Tech Talks programme.
Systems:
Co-ordinate student enrolments to our Portal, including approving profiles and creating PDFs and liaising with students.
Identify and reach out to students not on the portal to increase the talent pool.
Add employment/ education opportunities to the Talent Portal.
Other:
Using our systems and CRM record all support and opportunities offered to students and all positive destinations and careers activity.
Contact alumni to obtain destination information and update records.
Support the Head of Employability to produce monthly reports on activity and destinations.
Skills & Experience
Have/ working towards a CIAG qualification (desirable).
Understanding of various progression opportunities.
Excellent ICT skills, specifically MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
5 GCSEs inc English and Maths.
Competencies
Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong presentation skills.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
