We are looking for candidates with a passion for coding who want to help train the next generation of developers to join our Short Course Provision team. You will be teaching adult learners with little or no coding experience, giving them an insight into what life would be like in the tech industry. Along with your teaching or training experience you will need a passion for coding. You will promote enthusiasm for learning and the digital sector. Our courses range from two-day introductions to front-end development, three-week fundamentals courses with a fully accredited level 2 certificate, and much more that we are currently planning for the future.

We teach Python, HTML and CSS as our core development languages, but we are happy if you have a background in another, as full training on all the course content will be given. The digital sector is continually developing, and the rate of change is unlikely to slow down; you must therefore be flexible to take on changing responsibilities.

• Use your confident communication skills and knowledge of code to deliver engaging lessons to a diverse range of students at all levels.
• Able to provide regular and detailed feedback to support learners.
• Work as part of a larger team of teachers and developers to deliver technical curriculums.
• Take part in regular training and CPD for your personal and professional development as well contribute to developmental team meetings.
• Keep up to date with the cutting edge of technology and trends.
• Able to create lesson plans and course resources and take part in curriculum development for new and existing courses.
• Adhere to awarding body requirements - collect and monitor student performance, providing feedback to ensure our students know what they need to do next to progress and gain their qualification.

1. Experience of teaching, training, coaching or mentoring learners - a recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one as part of the role, is essential.
2. Working well as part of a team while also being able to work independently are essential skills.
3. Passion for coding - knowledge of Python, HTML and CSS or similar languages/technologies would be advantageous.

1. Outstanding communication and presentation skills - you will be able to confidently teach a class of learners virtually and in person.
2. Comfortable with taking a collaborative approach and taking the initiative to lead when required.
3. Interested in technology, and always curious to learn more.
