Employer Engagement Lead

Summary

Reports to:

Engagement & Marketing Director

The Engagement Lead is responsible for creating, nurturing, and maintaining relationships with SMEs, large businesses and organisations across the country.

The focus of engagement is to work with the business to understand all aspects of tech workforce development, skills gaps, and strategic priorities to identify Code Nation products, services and talent which can meet those needs, with a specific focus on Apprenticeship sales.

The role involves key account management of existing businesses as well as identifying, engaging, and securing business from new clients.

The role focuses on business development activities for Code Nation products, including but not limited to; apprenticeships, skills bootcamps and commercial training.

Duties

Sales/ Business Development

  • Create a strong pipeline of client sales activity
  • Secure apprenticeship outcomes (tech related – Software, Cyber, Data), against contracts and monthly targets
  • Identify employment opportunities and interviews for our skills bootcamp graduates
  • Research businesses and create a business development engagement plan
  • Secure one employer speaker each month to deliver a short talk to our students
  • Record all aspects of employer engagement and sales on our CRM system
  • Ensure all client contracts and paperwork are completed accurately, on time and retained in the appropriate systems


Account Management

  • Carry out account management of existing and new large clients – ensuring regular engagement and understanding of changing business needs
  • Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with SME’s & large businesses who work with CN as a preferred supplier


Promotion/ engagement

  • Plan and deliver events and other CN profile raising activity to promote our offer to businesses
  • Attend partner events and meetings to inform businesses about our provision
  • Have an excellent understanding of how apprenticeships and bootcamps can benefit business productivity, CSR plans and talent retention
  • Work with the marketing manager on a promotional strategy and activities e.g., developing sales campaigns


Skills & Experience

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ years experience in technology related BDM role – apprenticeship sales, recruitment sales or consultancy sales/services
  • Key account management experience
  • Experience in exceeding targets in a targeted environment
  • Outstanding communication / presentation skills and the ability to influence others
  • Exceptional closing skills
